“As a mental health and relationship consultant in a post pandemic world, my focus will be on assisting you in improving your overall quality of life. Our work together will be collaborative, effective and engaging - I’ll also always keep it real (and kind). I approach my work from a trauma informed, anti-racist lens and I mindfully hold space for you in a co-created, emotionally safe environment. My approach is both sex positive and LGBTQIA+ affirming.

As a daughter to mixed race Yemeni immigrants, I’m well experienced in helping individuals with identity issues integrate all of their respective identities, be it racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual or otherwise - I’ve got you covered. As a mother to a mixed race child, while also being in a mixed race partnership of my own, I’m particularly experienced in helping partners identify the source(s) of their relationship dissatisfaction within the full context of each individual’s identity and I will provide you with tools that will help you and your partner co-create the type of relationship you want to experience. I have experience working with traditional and non-traditional partnerships alike and I see you as you want to be seen.

I’m committed to approaching my work from a holistic standpoint and believe the human body is one of the most understated resources we have for our healing. When appropriate I incorporate guided meditation, progressive muscle relaxation and breathing exercises into our work together (not just with individuals - with couples, too).

Though I’ve received training in several schools of thought, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Ackerman Relational Approach, Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, I use these methods to create an individualized approach that honors your unique lived experiences and all of the identities you carry.”
